This pioneering project celebrates Sheffield's unique place in the world history of metal-making. Using state-of-the-art fast 3D scanning technologies, Sheffield Hallam University captured 3D images of objects ranging from Sheffield-made pewter to Sumatran ceremonial brass. Objects which aren’t normally displayed, or are too delicate for handling, can now be experienced 'virtually' from anywhere in the world.
